Our mission is to help dogs be happy, healthy, and active. We believe that every dog can be a Super Doggie! We are not your typical “dog walkers” or doggie day care. We want our clients’ dogs to go on adventures, not just walks. We provide the individual attention that dogs crave by keeping our groups small and providing pet sitting in homes. We believe that dogs are happiest in a home environment, and our services reflect that. Our network of pet care professionals is passionate about animals and understands their needs. Jill Skinner, President

After a 10-year career in the business world and earning degrees and certifications, she decided to pursue her passion - working with animals. Her longtime love of animals came from living with 10 different dogs, 6 different cats, and a parrot over the years. She has ventured to the Galapagos Islands and Costa Rica to get close to wild animals such as sea lions, marine iguanas, and monkeys. In addition to providing pet care and running the business, she volunteers at a local animal shelter and is an Animal Behavior College certified dog trainer.

Wes Skinner, VP

A marketing and advertising pro for years, Wes runs the marketing and operations of the business. In addition to his obsession with cars, he is an outdoors enthusiast that loves to hike, camp, make art, and ski. Just like Jill, he also has a love of wildlife. Wes has encountered numerous bears in the Sierras, been taunted by monkeys in Costa Rica, and swam with sharks in the Galapagos Islands. He has spent countless hours working with our mascot, Ozzy, to bring him out of his shell and teach him tons of tricks.

Ozzy Skinner, Mascot

Ozzy is our mascot, sidekick, and the inspiration to start this company. The original Super Doggie came to us as a scared, timid rescue dog, but now he’s a silly, energetic, lovable barrel of fun. He loves to hike, wrestle, run, jump, and catch a frisbee. He’s at his happiest when he’s running around a campsite or the beach, and his favorite trick is "rock on!"

Katherine

Katherine loves loves all animals, especially her seventeen year old kitty-cat.  A pediatric nurse and occasional yoga teacher, she is particularly drawn to caring for puppies, elderly dogs and special needs dogs.  She also loves hiking adventures with dogs.  She enjoys cross country skiing and being in the mountains, and sings with VOCI, a women's vocal ensemble.

Nadia

Growing up, her family taught her to love all animals. She always had dogs and cats, and had experiences with small animals like rabbits, hamsters, rats, and ferrets. Nadia attends night school while still finding time to enjoy the little things like painting and supporting live music. When she adopted her dog Dillard, her happy-go-lucky one-eyed dog, it was truly love at first sight. Through everything they do, from going on adventures, walks, or simply sleeping and waking up, Dillard is there to smile and go with the flow, reminding her to do the same.

Stacey

Stacey has been an animal lover her whole life.  She's raised puppies, birds, hamsters, turtles, lizards, and bottle-fed kittens until they went to their forever homes (she did keep one!).  She started pet sitting in 1993 and has loved all the animals she's known through the years.  She also began boarding when she moved into a small house in Albany in 2007.  She currently has two great cats (one thinks he’s a dog) and enjoys getting her puppy-love from all her clients’ babies.

Dan

Dan is a Chicago transplant, going for a master's degree at Dominican University's GreenMBA program. He's owned and cared for dogs his whole life and plans to keep it that way. He also managed a dog beach cafe in Chicago, where he got to meet dogs of all breeds, sizes and attitudes.  Dan resides in North Oakland with his good friend Russell, a 12 year-old Golden/Samoyed.

Joanna

A true animal lover, Joanna has spent her entire life loving and caring for animals. She has over 16 years of dog training experience. Another of Joanna's passions is showing and training horses, which she has been doing for 20 years! Along with horses and dogs, she has also had cats, fish, rabbits, and hamsters. Joanna has worked hard to educate herself by spending time with large and small animal vets to learn about animal first aid, and she has started a masters' program in animal psychology.

We founded Superdoggies to make sure that dogs with busy owners get the daily exercise and mental stimulation they need! Now you don't have to feel guilty about leaving your pet at home while you work or travel.

We are bonded and insured, and we perform thorough background and reference checks on our staff to ensure the safety of your pet and your home.

We keep our dog groups small to ensure safety and proper leadership for every dog. Our group adventures are limited to 4 dogs per walker, and our boarding is in our pet sitters' homes, not a crowded kennel.

Superdoggies' team approach ensures that you always have coverage. You will have a primary pet sitter and a pre-assigned backup pet sitter in case your primary is not available.

We offer a full range of pet care services besides just walking and sitting.  We can give your dog a bath, take her to the vet or groomer, and train her to do new tricks.

We strongly believe that positive reinforcement and 100% consistency are the key to a well-behaved dog. We'll work with you to incorporate your existing training whenever we care for your pet.

We understand that your busy lifestyle can be unpredictable, and that you can't always schedule services in advance. Our "On Call" services can be scheduled at any time - even the same day! Our cancellation policy is also more flexible than that of many other companies.
